Committee members are looking to raise more than the $24,000 raised at last year’s Burney Fall River Education Foundation dinner and auction to surpass the $1 million mark in grant giving.

Committee member Evalee Nelson said enough money raised Saturday night would allow the foundation to award $72,144 in grants next year.

“And that would give us $1 million in 25 years of giving (1992-2017),” she stated. See the advertisement on Page 5 for more information.
